Yep, there was too much of excitement lately, let’s water it down a bit
and have boxing in masks, we haven’t had one of those in a long while.
Boy! This was excruciatingly boring and utterly uninteresting. The men in
masks took way too much screen time, I was constantly checking my watch and
that is not a good sign. There were however few interesting bits... it didn't save the episode, but made sitting it through less miserable.
Last week Sean Renard was the one excluded from the almighty circle of
trust. This week it was Adalind. Too preoccupied with her own condition she
didn’t even notice that Nick lied to her. I’m not sure I like where this is
going, I thought we were long past that. At least he was obviously
uncomfortable about lying to her and at least she brought up her Hexenbiest
predicament, even if only hypothetically.
The famous footage was back and this time it was Eve’s turn to do the
math. She also confronted Sean and spied on him to confirm her suspicion. That
whole dinner conversation about Sean needing a family and sort of already
having one was somewhat troubling. If Black Claw could give them Diana back,
they will both do what will be asked of them. Sean and Adalind running the city
side by side on behalf of Black Claw! Can you imagine the possibility? Yum yum!
Some observations
Episode’s opening quote was: “Give a
man a mask and he will show his true face”. Oscar
Wilde
I know I said it before, but visual effects on
this show are just fantastic. The scene where the mask was coming off was very well done.
Rosalee is fluent in Aramaic, but
doesn’t speak Spanish.
Memorable Quotes:
Wu: “So we're thinking this
is some kind of healing stick-magic wand thing?”
Nick: “Looks
like he took his face off in one piece.”
Hank: “This
takes a facelift to a whole other place.”
Nick: “I
believe when subjected to multiple personalities at the same time, the human
mind has only one escape: to go completely mad.
Sol’s rating: just barely 1.
