“After three days and nights, whoever tries and does not succeed shall be
put to death.”
Hmmm….
I’m not entirely sure what to write about this one. I’m immensely
enjoying Adalind and Nick and all their scenes together. They are obviously
attracted to each other, though none of them is willing to act on it just yet,
so this awkward politesse dancing while parenting and boiling rice is quite
entertaining.
On the other hand nothing really is happening, I mean in terms of overall
story.
Monroe and Rosalee are bored to death, though they would disagree because
they can’t get a moment alone with each other. But their scenes are getting
repetitive, they show up to save the day with yet another explanation as to why
a grown man would walk around with a feather and die with Rosalee continuing to
be a “go to girl” all things babies related. Same all same all…..
The case of the week was stupid, like we knew from the very beginning who
does what and why. If the princess bride being a killer surprised you, well….
good for you…. for the rest of us it was boring as hell. I did have one question
though: she was in love with that second guy (at least I walked away with that
from that scene), but she killed him anyway!? And the first guy, who died, wasn’t
she friends with them since childhood!? So many lives would’ve been saved if
she was able to simply tell her father what she thinks about all this
swords-decapitating-medieval nonsense. But it was fun! It give it that. Poor
Frankie, he got the worst of luck being almost killed twice and saved every
time by a “by a guy wearing a
weird-looking animal outfit.”
Some observations
No number. Again. Tell me if you caught it.
I really don’t think Nick should open the door in the tunnels. When
something is shut and locked that way it is better leave it at that. Of course
he’s gonna open it and someone or something will come crawling out… or maybe
there will be a treasure chest.
Sean is asked to back someone who is trying to become a mayor. Do we know
this guy? And why is this important.
Monroe is allergic to nickel. Here is one more to our piggy bank of characters’
allergies.
What on earth happened to Trubel? And how did she know Nick’s new address?
Memorable Quotes:
Nick: “Maybe
he has colic. How do you know if he has colic?”
Adalind: “I
don't know. I'm still learning to boil rice.”
Troyer: “And
when a man does not have a son to inherit to his legacy, he must turn to
tradition. My daughter Emily is all I have left. Our Maagd Zoektocht requires
one of you to prove your worthiness to win her heart and her hand. Let the
griffon choose.”
LOL
Wu: “M.E.
didn't think it had anything to do with anything 'cause the victim wasn't hurt
by it, as in knocked over by a feather, but not having spent time in a mental
institution, the M.E. does not have the insight that I now have.”
Hank: “Axes,
swords, and golden feathers. Anyone else think this is getting a little mythological?”
Monroe: “But what's weird here is, the
quest doesn't normally end with the participant's death,
not to say
that procuring a dragon's tooth didn't have an abnormally high casualty rate,
but still.”
Rosalee: “Honey,
would you slay a dragon for me?”
Monroe: “Oh, my God, a flock of them. Or
whatever you call a great gathering of dragons.”
Sol’s rating: judging by the quotes section you
could tell I found the episode quite funny, but overall it wasn’t stellar or
even simply good. Let’s hope next one will have more action.
