“And glory like the phoenix midst her fires, exhales her odours, blazes,
and expires. ”
Sol’s rating: an ok-ish filler episode, 2 out of 5.
Juliette: “Bring it on, bitch.”
We met a cool, or rather hot, Wesen with an exotic name and Nick’s house
got trashed. Again. How does he get by on cop’s salary is a mystery to me.
Usually Nick’s house suffers that badly some time around season finale. Speaking
of, I’m pretty sure they will be dragging this whole Kelly-Diana search thing
until a season finale. Oh, well. At least Nick now knows about Juliette. His
reaction was my favorite part of the episode. Oh, and that fight.
Adalind’s reaction was hard to see due to her being in full woged state
and all, but she certainly didn’t expect Juliette to fight back and almost win.
What did we learn from this fight? Juliette seems to be stronger than Adalind,
she just lacks the experience.
If we to keep score, team Grimm is sort of losing. Adalind now knows
about Juliette. And the guy Sean asked to look for Kelly is also working for
Victor. No honor among Wesen. At least
they don’t know yet about Nick getting his Grimm back.
The Wesen of the week was fascinating. Excandesco, a devil-type Wesen was worthy of the name. We haven’t seen
this type of woge before. Not only his face changed, he literally turned into
a living breathing giant torch. The case itself however was standard Grimm. The
arson investigator Nick sent to prison in season one was back to help out. Him
being released from prison, even though temporarily, and working with Nick wasn’t
welcomed by Monroe
due to their past, which led to our first trouble in paradise. I don’t think we
saw Rosalee and Monroe fight before. And even this was hardly a fight, since Monroe came to his senses
and they made up like ten seconds later.
Some observations

Memorable Quotes:
Nick: “…There's nothing I know that can stop these
devils."”
Wu: “Now,
when he says "devils," is he referring to...”
Nick: “No.
I doubt it.”
Victor: “It's
called back channel diplomacy, and it cannot be done truly effectively when
done so loudly.”
