"Fantastic!"
I loved this tour! Very well organized. All went smoothly. The departure is at 9am from the Agency on Rivoli street. When you get in the bus the company representative gives you a program with your name on it and entrance tickets to both castles + tickets for audio guides. Before we left the lady explained the route/bus stops/times in French, then asked who speaks a different language and explained once again for certain tourists in English and Spanish.
The bus is very comfortable and we enjoyed the ride. First was the Vaux-le-Vicompte and then Fontainebleau. It was enough time given for both castles, I wish it was more time for Vaux-le-Vicompte, because as we left the restaurant opened for lunch, we looked really quickly – food smelled delicious, but we didn’t have time. We had time at Fontainebleau but their cafe offered only a small selection of baguettes, desserts and drinks and it wasn’t really nice.
This tour is very cost-effective: from central Paris to the front gates of the castle and back and between the castles + entrance tickets + audio guides, on a comfortable bus – all for 49 Euros only. Might seem expensive, but keep in mind that the entrance fee for Vaux-le-Vicompte (Apartments and parks) was 18Euros + 6 for audio guide (and I think to get up the Dome is extra), and for Fontainebleau (Apartments and parks) 14 Euros + audio guides?, so if you have to go by yourself by train or by bus you will for sure spend more money as well as time.
