David and Jenny are wonderful hosts. They have welcomed me as a friend and from second one I felt like I was at home. The house is just lovely, very nicely decorated and the terrace upstairs where you have breakfast has a beautiful view down the village.
The room is spacious, very clean, shower’s very hot and strong, the bed is insanely comfortable and there are even towels that you can take with you to the beach, which is very convenient. You wake up every morning to a fabulous breakfast: bowl of fresh fruits, juice, coffee, homemade jam, different kinds of bread (toast or not how you like it) and “main course size” plate of tomatos, mushrooms, bacon or sausages and “David’s Special” - omelette that is to die for – so delicious. If you lucky and stay there more than 1 night you get to try yet another omelette.
The house is perfectly located in the center of tranquil village Qala, literally a minute away from the Church Square, where you can find lots of different bars and restaurants. Ask David and Jenny for recommendations on where to eat and they can even book a table for you if needed. It is also few minutes walk to a bus stop from where you can go to Victoria and from Victoria to pretty much anywhere in Gozo. It is quite an easy walk to the beach (10 min) but quite a WALK back :) but David was so kind that he drove there to pick me up.
When I arrived I din't need to worry about finding the place, because David offered to pick me up at the ferry and then to drive back on the last day.
If you’re in Gozo look no further – “David and Jenny’s B&B” is the best place to stay.
I will for sure stay there again if I ever come back and I really hope I will because I had a wonderful time there.
Stayed June 2010
