“There is no mercy in you. You cut off the heads of men and women and
these you wear as a garland around your neck”
It started right were we left off – with a burning cross and a burning desire to re-Grimm Nick.
Nick: “I can see them again. It worked. The
peace and quiet we never had is over.”

So the inter-marriage is a
crime against man and nature as per ancient organization founded during the
middle ages to keep wesen pure. Sounds familiar. I believe we'll see more on that later.
I was wrong. They did show us the
details. Against my expectations I found the Nick-Juliette-as-Adalind sex scene
rather romantic. It was awkward, no doubt, but they found a way to make it work.
I think Monroe
had harder time thinking of them doing it, than them actually doing it. Bravo, Claire Coffee! Her
impersonation of Juliette was spot on. The way she moved, the gestures, even
the tone of her voice.
The wake up call from the
hell-spell came at a worst possible moment for Nick. I guess he should have
expected it, it was obviously very painful for Juliette, so it only makes sense
it would be as painful for Nick if not worse.
The case of the week was
rather dull and inconsistent. It was mentioned the victims were ‘always young
couples’, and then all of a sudden those huge-tongue Wesen, whose name isn’t
worth remembering or copy-pasting for that matter, decided to take only half of
a couple. And then they just decided to use in the sacrifice whoever came
their way – unfortunate police sheriff, who wasn't that young. How does that
make any sense? Plus whatever totem they were burying, why was it one figurine
and not two, since the sacrifice requires a couple? Why bury them at the
abduction sites and not at the place where victims were buried alive? Why bury them at all? Agrr... At least Nick had a time of
his life kicking those tongue-wesen asses.
Adalind and Victor are now
working together and they are much more interesting catching up at a dinner
table than separated by a prison cell door. Victor now knows that Kelly is Nick's mother. How
long will it take him to connect the dots and realize she’s also a Grimm? Come to
think of it, as a Big Bad Victors seems to be very uninformed about his enemies.
Mama-Grimm’s name was mentioned in what - third episode in a row (if
not more). Is there a chance we’re going to see her anytime soon? Is my dream
seeing Kelly and Elizabeth working together against Victor and Adalind will
finally come true? Is it too much to ask?
I have no idea where they
are going with Josh. So let’s just leave it for now.
Me favorite moment was Monroe woge-testing Nick.
He was so worried - more than Nick - it was adorable.
Some observations
Episode’s number was shown
twice in this one, just in case someone missed it the first time around. How
anyone could? It was half-screen big! Both times!
We were once again reminded
that what Elizabeth
has done for Sean could only have been done once for both of them. Do the
writers need to emphasize this again and again because they don’t think we
follow, or are we heading into Elizabeth-in-peril
situation?
Rudyard Kipling was a Grimm.
How very cool!
Memorable Quotes:
Adalind: “He
brought me to the police station to talk about my mother's murder, which I
found out was committed by Nick's mom.”
Victor: “That
must have been awkward.”
Adalind: “A
little.”
Juliette: “This is your one
and only chance to have an affair with my blessing.”
Monroe: “All right, yeah. Sleep. 'Cause I
gotta stop thinking about Nick and Juliette, or Nick and Adalind, or Adalind
with Juliette. I mean, the whole thing is like some bizarre, convoluted menage-a-trois.”
Rosalee: “Monroe, we have a guest.”
Monroe: “Sorry, Trubel.”
Trubel: “Oh,
I know what convoluted means.”
Nick: “I
can see them again. It worked. The peace and quiet we never had is over.”

rating: Not bad at all, 3,5 out of 5.
