“In all chaos there is a cosmos,
in all disorder a secret order ”
|
After a carnival-disaster,
that was last episode, we thankfully got great, fun and dynamic one. It was like a reward that we
Grimmsters deserved.
What a reunion! Mama-Grimm
showed up out of nowhere with a private plane to save Adalind and her baby and
the safest place she could think of to bring them to is Nick’s house. Come to
think of it, if this baby is supposed to be raised like a normal child away
from the influence of both Royal Families and Wesen, wouldn’t it be smart and
logical to hide them somewhere less obvious? Like if Prince Victor was
looking on the map trying to decide where Adalind went, Portland will be like a huge red flag [and it was]. Oh, well! The baby is important to a story and Sean looked adorable holding her [we still
kinda don’t know for sure if he is the father], plus it created an amusing
chaos at Nick’s, so the hell with logical and smart.
So, Kelly who killed
Adalind’s mom brought her and her baby to Nick’s house not knowing that Adalind
was the one responsible for Juliette’s coma. What a mess! Like Adalind said: “Imagine their surprise”.
Family reunions are always very well done on Grimm.
Rosalee and Monroe are in
full mode of preparation for the wedding. Judging by their reaction, when Nick
shared his concerns about being at the wedding, they obviously thought of that
too. It is good that they come up with the way to avoid possible murder or few
with the help of just a pair of sunglasses. Nick might look ridiculous during the
wedding, but at least we were finally [after almost three seasons] given an
explanation of how exactly Wesen know Nick is a Grimm. Right about time! I knew
it has something to do with the way he looks at them when they woge, like they
pick up on some recognition on his part and that’s how they know he’s a Grimm.
I wasn’t too far off. But the explanation they gave us was much elaborate. So
when Nick sees Wesen woge his eyes turn into black, like infinite darkness
black, and in it Wesen see their reflection, the monsters they really are. How
cool is that!? It is also must be quite uncomfortable for Rosalee and Monroe to
be friends with Nick, seeing their true nature in his eyes every time they
woge; like they said it took some time getting used too.
Some observations
Adalind’s
child is a girl. Does it matter? It looked like it mattered when Kelly asked
about it.
Now, that
Adalind is a Hexenbiest again she looks more human than she was when she was a
human. She was one of the characters that I couldn’t stand in the beginning,
now I think I sort of like her.
The fight
in the woods between Meisner and Verrat agents was extremely well done, but
then again all fights on Grimm are.
To figure out sitting arrangements can be a pain for
normal people, more so for Wesen I suppose, since the key here to put together
guests who not only will get along, but also wouldn’t want to kill each other.
How
convenient that Nick had his sunglasses with him, late at night, on
not so sunny day? Nick never wears sunglasses, well, almost never. It’s a
small detail, but come on! Wouldn’t it
be more believable if Monroe
gave Nick his sunglasses instead.
I know, I
said it before, and probably several times, but that castle in Austria
looked absolutely stunning, especially in the fog.
Good
casting of young Nick, younger Kelly and Aunt Marie.
I think Alexis Denisof is highly underutilized. He has so little screen time, you can miss him if you blink. And when we see him all he does is give orders and threaten his [quite incapable] men. Plus, I don't know why, but I just don't buy him as a big villain.
I’m sorry
but Rosalee’s wedding dress was hideous!
Memorable Quotes:
Hank: “Could
be a really volatile situation. I think it's a big risk, and you'd be way
outnumbered.”
Nick: “With
no backup.”
Hank: “It's
not as if you can be up front about this either.”
Nick: “I
could go undercover.”
Hank: “I
don't think you should go at all.”
Nick: “It
shouldn't be this complicated.”
Kelly: “I
don't trust anybody I'm not close enough to kill.”
