“But if I stand at the sick person’s feet, he’s mine” |
That pretty much sums up the
entire episode.
Grimm made its comeback to
our screens and let me say it was rather a disappointing one. Lots of running
around, lots of crazy zombie catching and zero progress of the story. Silly me
thinking we’d get some Grimm versus Royal Families action in a beautiful Vienna! No, we didn’t even
get to leave the country.
Grimm is keeping its
tradition of starting the season right where it was left off (or rather even
slightly before that) in the finale. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out
why we needed the countdown “15 minutes ago”, “5 minutes ago” and “NOW” – do
the creators think we won’t follow otherwise?
Why would they set up this
whole elaborate kidnapping plan if they didn’t intend to carry it all the way
to Austria?
I never watch the previews and I never do predictions but I bet in the next
episode Nick will be cured and all things will get back to “normal”. Then what
was the point of this plot?
Juliette is now a part of
the gang, except she still feels out of place, yeah she did give an idea how to
vaporize the potion, but other than that it feels like she doesn’t belong. I
really hope this season writers give her some interesting story.
Plot B was equally
unsatisfying and even disturbing what with chopping off hands and feet and all, but watching through
this spell ritual I suddenly realized that I don’t dislike Adalind as much as I
did before. Maybe the actress toned down a bit, maybe her lines were a bit
funnier but she is the reason these scenes were tolerable to watch.
So she is accepted now, and
soon will turn to her Hexenbiest form – will that happen before or after the
baby is born? I am not a fan of baby plots in horror stories, so I hope it will
not be too gruesome.
Some observations
Monroe and
girls have pushed off the roof so many of those zombies and I kept thinking that
those are innocent people and they could die after a fall like that. I don’t
suppose Rosalee’s gas treatment would cure any injuries sustained in a zombie
state, then again I’m not a zombie expert.
That poppy
field – so horribly destroyed – reminded me of Deadly Poppies in Wizard of Oz.
For a second there I even expected them to fall asleep.
Claire
Coffee wearing natural make up looks so much more likable.
Baron is
now officially dead. Or is he? And how reckless it was for them to just leave
his body in the plane wreckage? I personally hope he’s dead because he served
his purpose and I’ve had enough with crazy zombies but something tells me he
might be back.
Memorable Quotes:
Monroe: “It's just, I can't believe they
took Nick... not to mention, they left us with a hell of a lot of mess to deal
with.”
(No
kidding!)
Rosalee: “Remember
what I told you about the different ways this treatment can be given?”
Monroe: “Yeah. Orally,
"ointmentally"...”
Rosalee: “What
about an inhalant?”
Monroe: “Oh, you mean we get 'em to smoke
it?”
Monroe: “Oh, so basically, we just create,
like, a molotov cocktail, except it doesn't explode...
We hope.”
